Clippers 109, Nuggets 105

Chauncey Billups scored a season-high 32 points against his former team and Chris Paul had 25 to lead the visiting Los Angeles Clippers to a 109-105 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

Paul, who sealed the game with late free throws, also had seven assists and six rebounds to end Denver's six-game winning streak. Blake Griffin had 17 points and 13 rebounds and DeAndre Jordan added 13 rebounds and five blocks

Nene led the Nuggets with 18 points and nine rebounds while Andre Miller had 16 and 10 assists. Danilo Gallinari scored 17 and Al Harrington 16.

The Clippers went 14 of 30 on 3-pointers to the Nuggets’ 6 of 18. Billups, a Denver native, was 6 of 12 on 3s.

Denver led 87-77 before the Clippers went on a 10-0 run. Denver went up 99-94 when Billups tied the score with a 3-pointer and gave the Clippers a 102-99 lead on a three-point play with 2:37 remaining.

Paul put the Clippers ahead 104-101 but Nene had back-to-back slams on assists from Miller. Paul's two free throws made it 106-105. Harrington missed a layup and Jordan grabbed the rebound and made one of two free throws. Nene was whistled for a charge and Paul sealed it with two free throws.

Miller started for point guard Ty Lawson, who sat out with a sprained left ankle.
