Bucks 105, Heat 97

Brandon Jennings had 31 points and connected on seven 3-point baskets as the Milwaukee Bucks rallied for an impressive 105-97 victory over the visiting Miami Heat on Wednesday.

Drew Gooden had 17 points and nine rebounds and Ersan Ilyasova grabbed 14 rebounds as Milwaukee won its third straight game and defeated Miami for the second time this season.

LeBron James scored a season-high 40 points and Dwyane Wade added 23 for Miami, which had a five-game winning streak snapped. The Heat have won eight of 10 games with both losses coming to the Bucks.

Milwaukee trailed by seven points late in the third quarter before blitzing the Heat with a 26-3 run. Jennings hit three 3-pointers during the surge, including back-to-back bombs to give the Bucks a 98-82 lead with 4:24 left.

Milwaukee recovered from an 18-point second-quarter deficit to tie the game at 79 on a three-point play by Ilyasova 27 seconds into the final quarter.

Miami made just six of 22 shots in the final quarter.

Jennings had eight assists and four steals without committing a turnover in nearly 42 minutes of action.

James had 24 first-quarter points as Miami jumped out to a 40-23 lead. The Heat’s lead was 18 with seven minutes left in the half before Milwaukee pulled within 60-47 at intermission.
