Thunder 95, Mavericks 86

Russell Westbrook scorerd 33 points and Kevin Durant collected 23 points and 13 rebounds as the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder outlasted the Dallas Mavericks, 95-86, on Wednesday.

Serge Ibaka blocked 10 shots and pulled down 11 rebounds and James Harden chipped in 10 points, nine assists and seven boards for the Thunder, who bounced back from a loss at the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Oklahoma City led by as much as 77-67 with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter before the Mavericks began to chip away. Shawn Marion’s basket with 2:14 left finally tied it at 85-85 before Westbrook and Durant reasserted control.

The two stars each hit a mid-range jumper to make it a four-point game and then Westbrook put it away, taking advantage of an offensive rebound from Ibaka by burying a 3-pointer from the right wing with 35 seconds left.

Westbrook and Durant combined to hit three free throws in the final 19 seconds to seal the victory.

Dirk Nowitzki had another rough game for Dallas, scoring eight points on 2-for-15 shooting. He has topped out at 10 points in three games since returning from a knee injury.

Jason Terry put up 25 points to lead the Mavericks.
