Trail Blazers 112, Bobcats 68

Gerald Wallace scored 23 points against his former club as the Portland Trail Blazers trounced the visiting Charlotte Bobcats 112-68 on Wednesday.

Jamal Crawford scored a game-high 24 points and LaMarcus Aldridge tallied 22 points as Portland cruised to the victory and improved to 10-1 at home.

Gerald Henderson scored 16 points for Charlotte, which dropped its 10th straight game and has an NBA-worst 3-20 record.

The 44-point margin of defeat is Charlotte’s worst of a dreadful season. The Bobcats are 1-12 on the road with nine double-digit losses and set a season low for points scored.

Wallace played 6 1/2 seasons for the Bobcats until being dealt to Portland last February. He struggled in two games against his former club last March, averaging just 10 points and shooting just 33.3 percent from the field.

There were no such issues Wednesday as Wallace scored 14 first-half points to propel Portland to a 61-35 halftime lead.

The Trail Blazers led 92-48 entering the final quarter.

Portland shot 55 percent from the field and held Charlotte to 32.5 percent.
