Pacers 98, Mavericks 87

Paul George scored 18 of his career-high 30 points in the second half and added nine rebounds and five assists to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 98-87 victory over the host Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

Indiana trailed, 53-52, at the half but quickly went about taking control in the third quarter. George scored on the first possession and then stole a pass and scored in transition, getting fouled and completing the three-point play.

George hit three 3-pointers in the first 5:15 of the fourth quarter as the Pacers stretched it out to 92-75 and coasted to the finish.

Dirk Nowitzki had his best game since returning to the lineup for the Mavericks with 30 points on 12-of-17 shooting and seven rebounds. The star forward had bottomed out at eight points on 2-of-15 shooting in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
