Clippers 107, Magic 102 (OT)
Chris Paul collected 29 points, eight assists and seven rebounds and Caron Butler stepped up in overtime to lead the Los Angeles Clippers past the host Orlando Magic 107-102 on Monday.
Blake Griffin added 18 points and 10 rebounds and Chauncey Billups buried five 3-pointers en route to 18 points for the Clippers, who moved to 2-0 on their six-game road trip.
Butler, who finished with 14 points, came out of a timeout in overtime and knocked down a jumper to pull Los Angeles within 100-98. Paul stole the ball on the next possession and found Butler, who buried a 3-pointer to give the Clippers the lead for good.
Los Angeles led by as many as nine points in the fourth quarter and were still up 89-82 with 4:20 left when the Magic made a move. Jameer Nelson scored four straight points and Ryan Anderson buried a 3-pointer to knot it at 89 with 2:45 to play.
Orlando took the lead 94-93 when Jason Richardson converted a three-point play but Griffin split a pair of free throws to tie it up and Nelson missed at the other end to send the game to overtime.
Dwight Howard recorded 33 points and 14 rebounds for the Magic.
