Greg Monroe had 18 points and 11 rebounds for his ninth double-double in 10 games as the Detroit Pistons cruised to a 109-92 victory over the visiting New Jersey Nets on Friday.
Jonas Jerebko scored a game-high 20 points, and Rodney Stuckey added 19 as Detroit stretched its season-best winning streak to four.
Johan Petro had 16 points, and Deron Williams and Jordan Farmar added 14 apiece for New Jersey, which lost its fifth straight.
The Pistons built a 19-point halftime lead en route to beating New Jersey for the second time in three nights. Monroe had 20 points and 12 rebounds on Wednesday when the Pistons prevailed 99-92.
The Pistons spotted the Nets the game’s first seven points before going on a 12-0 run. Detroit’s lead reached double digits early in the second quarter and the Pistons steadily pulled away.
Monroe’s dunk with 3:31 left in the third gave Detroit a 30-point lead. Monroe made 8 of 9 shots.
Ben Gordon scored 14 points and Brandon Knight added 13 for Detroit, which shot 54.4 percent from the field and had a 47-31 rebounding edge.
Sundiata Gaines scored 13 points and Jordan Williams added 11 for the Nets.
