Knicks 92, Lakers 85
Rookie Jeremy Lin continued his sensational start with a career-high 38 points to lead the New York Knicks to a 92-85 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.
Lin, who has become an instant star in just his fourth start, shot 13 of 23 as the Knicks won their fourth in a row.
He has scored 20-plus points in all four games. Along with posting the most points by a Knicks player this season, he also had seven assists and four rebounds. Lin tallied 18 points in the first half and had 11 in the final quarter of the game.
Kobe Bryant had 34 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers but was just 11 of 29, including 1 of 5 on 3-pointers.
Tyson Chandler added 11 rebounds and nine points for the Knicks, and Jared Jeffries had 11 points and nine rebounds. Iman Shumpert scored 12.
Pau Gasol had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who dropped to 4-10 on the road. Andrew Bynum grabbed 13 rebounds, and Matt Barnes scored 11 in defeat.
