Grizzlies 98, Pacers 92
Rudy Gay scored 21 points and Marreese Speights collected 19 points and nine rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies held off the visiting Indiana Pacers 98-92 on Friday.
Marc Gasol chipped in 15 points and seven boards and Mike Conley added 15 points and six assists for the Grizzlies, who have won back-to-back games to push back above .500 at 14-13.
Indiana has now lost back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Memphis held an 86-77 advantage after Gay completed a three-point play with 7:03 left. The Pacers battled back, going on a 9-0 run to knot it at 86 with 4:28.
But Indiana went cold from there, failing to record a field goal over the next 3:30. Gasol was part of the problem for the Pacers, as he blocked fellow first-time All-Star Roy Hibbert twice down the stretch.
Gasol, Conley and O.J. Mayo combined to shoot 8 of 10 from the free throw line over the last 2:59 to seal the victory.
David West piled up 22 points and 13 rebounds and Danny Granger scored 19 points for Indiana.
