Wizards 124, Trail Blazers 109

Nick Young scored a season-best 35 points and John Wall had 29 points and nine assists to lead the Washington Wizards to a 124-109 victory over the host Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.

Jordan Crawford scored 21 points and JaVale McGee had 18 points and 11 rebounds as Washington won its second straight road game and improved to 3-10 away from home.

Portland lost its third consecutive home game for the first time since the 2007-08 season and also lost All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge less than two minutes into the game with a sprained left ankle.

Aldridge landed on the foot of Washington’s Trevor Booker and fell to the floor. The team said X-rays on the ankle were negative.

Nicolas Batum matched his career high with 33 points and Gerald Wallace added 25 for Portland.

Without Aldridge, the Trail Blazers struggled against the lowly Wizards, who shot 60 percent from the field and had a 43-31 rebounding edge.

Washington had a 12-point halftime lead and responded when Portland made a run in the third quarter. Young hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Wall followed with a layup during an 8-0 run that gave the Wizards a 78-63 advantage.

Crawford drained three consecutive baskets during a one-minute stretch of the final quarter as Washington took a 108-91 lead with just over seven minutes remaining.

Wesley Matthews scored 15 points and Marcus Camby had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Portland, which won 11 of its first 12 home games this season.

Washington shot 55 percent in the first half while taking a 58-46 lead.
