PACERS 117, HORNETS 108: Roy Hibbert scored 30 points for the first time in his career and grabbed 13 rebounds as host Indiana won in overtime for its third straight victory.
Paul George scored 20 points and Darren Collison added 18 as the Pacers took control by beginning overtime with a 13-2 run.
Trevor Ariza scored 21 points, Jarrett Jack had 19 points and 10 assists and Chris Kaman added 17 points for the Hornets.
Hibbert’s tip-gave the Pacers a five-point advantage with 1:28 left in regulation but the Hornets finished the quarter with an 8-3 run, tying the game on Ariza’s jumper with 5.4 seconds left.
Danny Granger hit a 3-pointer 24 seconds into overtime to give Indiana the lead for good.
David West scored 16 points in his first appearance against New Orleans after playing eight seasons with the franchise. Granger added 14 points.
The Pacers recovered from a double-digit, first-half deficit to take an 80-74 lead into the final quarter. New Orleans responded with eight consecutive points to start the quarter and led 87-82 after Kaman’s basket with 6:56 remaining.
New Orleans shot 69.7 percent in the first half en route to a 56-53 halftime lead. The Hornets never trailed in the half and led by as many as 10 points.
Marco Belinelli added 15 points for New Orleans, which finished at 53.2 percent from the field.
GAME NOTEBOOK: New Orleans guard Eric Gordon said prior to Tuesday’s game that he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last week to repair cartilage damage. Gordon has played in only two games this season. … Hibbert has 38 rebounds over the last three games. … Belinelli has scored in double figures in eight straight games. … Pacers guard George Hill (ankle) missed his 12th consecutive contest.
