GRIZZLIES 89, 76ERS 76: Marc Gasol had 15 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and five blocked shots as host Memphis stretched Philadelphia’s season-worst losing skid to four games.

Rudy Gay scored eight of his 14 points during a late 12-2 run that saw the Grizzlies break open the game and take a 15-point lead.

Jrue Holiday scored 22 points for Philadelphia, which has lost six of eight games.

Memphis blocked 11 shots and held the 76ers to 36.5 percent from the field.

Philadelphia trailed 77-72 midway through the final quarter before Gay hit a 3-pointer to start a personal string of eight straight Memphis points. Gasol hit two free throws to give the Grizzlies an 89-74 advantage with 1:06 remaining.

Memphis rolled off 18 consecutive points in the first quarter and took a 27-7 lead on O.J. Mayo’s 3-pointer with 1:51 left. The Grizzlies led 30-10 at the end of the quarter.

Philadelphia cut into its deficit in the second quarter when Holiday scored the final 13 points of a 15-2 run. His third 3-pointer of the surge pulled the 76ers within 43-40 with 2:30 left in the half. Memphis led 47-42 at intermission.

Mayo added 13 points and Marreese Speights had 12 points for the Grizzlies.

Lavoy Allen added 14 points for the 76ers.
