Pacers 102, Bobcats 88
PACERS 102, BOBCATS 88: Tyler Hansbrough collected 22 points and nine rebounds off the bench as Indiana pushed its winning streak to four straight while handing Charlotte its second consecutive setback.
Danny Granger, David West and Darren Collison combined to shoot 6 for 26 from the field but the Pacers made up for it on the defensive end, holding the lowly Bobcats to 35.2 percent shooting.
Indiana made it move in the back half of the third quarter. Paul George buried a 3-pointer at the 5:24 mark to snap a 62-62 tie and spark a 27-8 run bridging the third and fourth.
Hansbrough scored 10 points during the burst, including a pair of three-point plays.
Corey Maggette scored 20 points and D.J. Augustin added 15 for Charlotte, which has dropped 18 of 19.
Indiana looked like it was falling off the pace in the Eastern Conference with five straight losses. But a favorable schedule, which included two games against the NBA-worst Bobcats, one against the New Jersey Nets and one against the New Orleans Hornets, has the Pacers headed into the All-Star break with some momentum.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bobcats blocked 13 shots, with rookie Bismack Biyombo recording six … Augustin is shooting 34 percent (14 for 41) in four games since returning to the lineup … The Pacers get two more sub-.500 teams to kick off the second half in Golden State and New Orleans.
