Nets 108, Magic 91

MAGIC 108, NETS 91
: Dwight Howard had 20 points and 17 rebounds and six other Orlando players scored in double digits to hand host New Jersey its seventh straight loss at home.

Howard’s East-leading 27th double-double of the season propelled the Magic to a ninth straight win over a Nets squad that had no answer for the big man inside.

The Magic used a potent 3-point attack to jump out to an early lead and never looked back. J.J. Redick stroked four of Orlando’s 13 3-pointers to give the team its sixth win in the last seven games.

Glen Davis and Jameer Nelson each scored eight points in the first quarter to help Orlando build a 34-17 lead.

New Jersey cut the Orlando lead to eight in the third quarter thanks to 12 straight points from Deron Williams, but that’s as close as the Nets would get. Williams finished with 23 points and eight assists.

MarShon Brooks finished with a game-high 24 points in a losing cause for New Jersey.
