CAVALIERS 100, NUGGETS 99: Kyrie Irving’s driving layup with four seconds left ended Cleveland’s six-game losing streak and gave the Cavaliers a rare win in Denver.
Irving had 18 points, with 10 coming in the final 2:36 all on drives to the basket, including continuation fouls on two of the four plays.
The Nuggets had a shot to win it at the buzzer when Ty Lawson beat Irving off the dribble, but his driving layup bounced off the rim as Irving jumped back into position to defend the shot.
Antawn Jamison had 33 points, including 26 in the first half, and nine rebounds for Cleveland. Irving added eight assists while making his fourth game-winning basket this season.
The Cavaliers had lost eight of their last 10 in this series and nine of the last 11 at Pepsi Center but escaped in a wild game that had eight lead changes in the final 3:17.
Al Harrington had 22 points off the bench to lead the Nuggets, while Lawson scored 18.
