BOBCATS 73, HORNETS 71: Gerald Henderson scored 15 points and Kemba Walker took over late as visiting Charlotte won for the second time in 10 games.
Walker finished with 14 points off the bench and Bismack Biyombo added 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks for the Bobcats, who improved to 3-19 on the road.
Charlotte trailed 53-49 with 3:25 left in the third quarter when it finally started to get things working on offense. Walker scored six points and added an assist in the final 2:35 of the period as the Bobcats closed with a 12-2 burst.
Walker added two long jumpers at the beginning of the fourth as the run stretched to 22-5, leaving Charlotte with a 71-58 advantage and less than six minutes on the clock.
New Orleans had one last run in it, using a 13-2 run to pull within a basket.
The Hornets had two more chances to tie it in the final 31 seconds but Jarrett Jack was called for an offensive foul and Trevor Ariza had a final attempt blocked by Biyombo.
