MAGIC 103, SUNS 93: Dwight Howard had 28 points and 16 rebounds and Ryan Anderson scored a game-high 29 points to lead Orlando to its fourth straight home victory over Phoenix.
The Suns didn’t have an answer inside for Howard, who recorded his 39th double-double and helped the Magic snap their two-game slide.
With all of the focus on Howard in the paint, Anderson put on a shooting clinic from behind the arc. The forward dropped 16 first-half points, shooting 4 for 5 from 3-point range, to give the Magic a 57-44 advantage at the break they wouldn’t relinquish. Anderson finished 7 for 12 from beyond the arc.
Orlando put up 59 total points in a loss to Chicago on Monday.
Jared Dudley scored 17 points for the Suns, who dropped consecutive contests since a season-high four-game winning streak.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Forward Grant Hill started his 44th game for the Suns. The 39-year-old has sat out 18 contests in his five years with Phoenix after missing 374 games in seven seasons with Orlando. … The Suns haven’t won in Orlando since Nov. 10, 2007.
