SPURS 104, MAVERICKS 87: Danny Green scored 18 points and Tim Duncan had 15 points and 12 rebounds as host San Antonio won for the fifth time in six games.
Matt Bonner scored 14 points, and the Spurs had a 54-34 rebounding edge and prevailed despite star point guard Tony Parker being sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Jason Terry scored 18 points, Dirk Nowitzki had 16 and Jason Kidd 14 for the Mavericks, who lost their second straight.
Dallas made 11 3-point baskets and led 63-58 after Kidd’s 3-pointer with 4:16 left in the third quarter, but didn’t score again until the fourth quarter.
San Antonio rolled off 14 straight points to take a nine-point advantage on Stephen Jackson’s basket 15 seconds into the final quarter. Jackson added a 3-pointer to give the Spurs an 80-65 lead with 10 minutes to play.
Dallas pulled within 89-79 on two free throws by Shawn Marion with 4:11 to play, but Kawhi Leonard scored back-to-back baskets to put the Spurs ahead by 14 with 3 1/2 minutes left.
Leonard had 12 points and eight rebounds, Manu Ginobili had 11 points and seven assists and Jackson had 10 points and eight rebounds for San Antonio.
Marion added 13 points for the Mavericks.
San Antonio led most of the first half and had a 52-45 lead at intermission.
