GRIZZLIES 99, BUCKS 95: O.J. Mayo led six players in double figures with 24 points off the bench as visiting Memphis maintained its standing in the Western Conference. Milwaukee had its two-game winning streak snapped and fell 2 ½ games out of the East playoff race.
Rudy Gay collected 17 points and 10 rebounds and Marc Gasol added 13 and 15 for the Grizzlies, who remained in sixth place in the West but pulled within one-half game of fifth-place Dallas.
The Bucks, who had won nine of their previous 12, are chasing the red-hot New York Knicks for the No. 8 spot in the East.
Milwaukee led 62-56 midway through the third quarter before Memphis began to take over. Gay grabbed a rebound and raced the other way for a short jumper, sparking a 14-0 run. Mayo and Gay each scored four points during the burst.
The Bucks had another run in them in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 straight points to draw within 95-92 with 16.5 seconds left. The Grizzlies did not help themselves by fouling Ersan Ilyasova and Ekpe Udoh behind the 3-point line on consecutive possessions.
But Mayo hit four free throws in the final 15 seconds to seal the win.
