Shannon Brown burned his former team by drilling a career-high six 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as visiting Phoenix snapped a modest two-game losing skid.

Marcin Gortat had 23 points and a career-best seven blocked shots and Michael Beasley added 21 points for the Suns.

Byron Mullens tied a franchise record by connecting on four 3-pointers in the third quarter. Mullens finished with a team-best 24 points for the Bobcats, who have dropped two straight since posting an impressive win over Indiana in their season opener.

Brown, who finished with 24 points off the bench, snapped an 87-87 tie with a 3-pointer. He added two more from beyond the arc in a two-minute span to give the Suns a 97-91 lead with 7:05 remaining.

Kemba Walker brought the Bobcats to within four at 114-110 with a pair of free throws and a layup, but Gortat connected on a pair of free throws and Goran Dragic added another to seal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Charlotte was playing its first game since announcing that guard Gerald Henderson would be sidelined two to four weeks with a left foot sprain. Rookie Jeffery Taylor started in his place and went 0-for-3 from the field for zero points. ... Phoenix has defeated Charlotte twice in a row following a four-game losing skid. ... Gortat was the first Suns player with seven or more blocks in a game since Amar'e Stoudemire accomplished the feat on Nov. 24, 2006.
