Memphis 99, Utah 86

Grizzlies 99, Jazz 86: Zach Randolph scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half and added 16 rebounds as visiting Memphis exploded after the break and snapped a three-game slide.

Marc Gasol scored 13 of his 16 in the second half and Rudy Gay added 14 points for the Grizzlies, who held their 20th straight opponent under 100 points.

Al Jefferson scored 21 points and Paul Millsap added 12 for Utah, which was outscored 55-32 after the break.

The Jazz came out strong in the first half, shooting 56.4 percent to take a 54-44 lead into the break. But Utah fell off in the third quarter, making only two field goals in the frame as Memphis crept back.

The Grizzlies closed the third with a 15-1 burst led by seven points from Gasol to take a 72-64 lead into the fourth. Back-to-back 3-pointers pulled Utah back within 74-70 but Randolph scored eight points during a 12-5 run over the next 4:45 to stretch it back out.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis finished up 1-2 on its three-game road trip and will play the next three at home, starting Monday with the Chicago Bulls. … Randolph has recorded a double-double in five of seven games this month. … The Jazz got 36 points off the bench, led by Gordon Hayward’s 11.
