Hawks 104, Timberwolves 96: Al Horford led all scorers with 28 points and Jannero Pargo hit four 3-pointers in the pivotal fourth quarter as host Atlanta rallied to beat Minnesota.

Horford put together one of his best all-around performances of the season, adding 10 rebounds, three blocks and a pair of steals as the Hawks won for just the third time in the past 11 games. Pargo had 14 of his 16 points in the final period while Kyle Korver added 14 in a reserve role.

Derrick Williams' 17 points paced the Timberwolves, who scored just 38 second-half points and lost for the sixth time in seven outings.

Minnesota dominated the opening half, leading by as many as 18 before settling for a 58-44 advantage at the break. The Hawks roared back to open the second half - making their first six shots of the third quarter and drawing even on a Mike Scott baseline dunk with 3:17 remaining in the period - but Minnesota responded with a quarter-closing 8-1 run to carry a 77-70 advantage into the fourth.

Atlanta kept things close and eventually surged ahead on Pargo's third 3-pointer of the quarter from the right sideline with 5:26 remaining. He connected again from long range two minutes later to put the Hawks ahead by four, and Horford added an emphatic dunk with 2:56 left to put the game out of reach.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Timberwolves had 18 assists on 22 first-half field goals. ... Minnesota was without six rotation players, including C Nikola Pekovic (bruised right quadriceps) and PF Kevin Love (broken hand). ... Minnesota PF Dante Cunningham was given a flagrant foul 1 after hitting Atlanta PG Jeff Teague hard on a shot attempt with 3:06 remaining. Teague made both free throws, and Horford followed with his game-clinching dunk.
