Clippers 101, 76ers 72

Chris Paul had 19 points and nine assists as Los Angeles extended Philadelphia’s road losing streak to 14 games.

Caron Butler scored 14 points and Willie Green added 13 for the Clippers, who held the 76ers to 36.7 percent shooting. The 72 points scored by Philadelphia marks a season low for a Clippers opponent.

Spencer Hawes led Philadelphia with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and Thaddeus Young had 13 points and eight boards. The Sixers fell to 6-24 away from home after losing for the 23rd time in their last 26 road games.

The Clippers never looked back after closing the first half on a 10-3 run to lead by 10 at the break. Philadelphia again trailed by 10 with 2:15 left in the third quarter, but Los Angeles drew clear with eight unanswered points.

Los Angeles bounced back from a 15-point loss at Sacramento on Tuesday by shooting 52.6 percent and outscoring the Sixers 27-14 in the fourth quarter. The Clippers are tied for fourth place in the Western Conference with Denver, just percentage points behind third-place Memphis.
