Randy Foye made five of his career high-tying eight 3-pointers in the third quarter and scored 26 points as host Utah dropped Brooklyn.

Al Jefferson and Mo Williams added 20 points apiece for the Jazz, who won their fourth straight to remain tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Former Utah standout Deron Williams had 21 points and 11 assists in his second visit to Salt Lake City since being dealt to the Nets. Brook Lopez had 27 points, C.J. Watson added 20 and Reggie Evans grabbed 16 rebounds.

Foye was 8-of-9 from 3-point range and tied Jeff Hornacek’s franchise record for 3-pointers in a game. The contest was tied at 65 early in the third quarter before Foye began his long-range spree with three consecutive 3-pointers.

Another 3-pointer by Foye made it 88-76 early in the fourth quarter, and the Jazz led by 15 with under five minutes to play before Brooklyn closed strong. The Nets are 4-3 on an eight-game road trip that concludes Wednesday in Cleveland.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Foye’s seven second-half 3-pointers are a franchise record for most in a half. Hornacek, now a Jazz assistant, made eight in a game against the Seattle SuperSonics on Nov. 23, 1994. … The Nets are 0-4 against the Jazz since acquiring Williams from Utah in February 2011. … Brooklyn G Joe Johnson (quadriceps) missed his fourth straight game.
