LaMarcus Aldridge had 27 points and 12 rebounds as visiting Portland won its fifth straight.
Mo Willliams scored 18 points and handed out a game-high eight assists off the bench for Portland, which snapped a nine-game losing streak in Boston. Nicolas Batum scored 18 points and Damian Lillard contributed 17.
Jared Sullinger returned from a one-game layoff due to a knee ailment to lead the Celtics with a career-high 26 points. Jeff Green chipped in 14.
Vitor Faverani had six points as Boston turned a 21-13 deficit into a 36-28 lead with 8:53 left in the first half. Three straight Portland 3-pointers - two by Batum - helped push the visitors back in front at the break, 57-51, and his fourth from long range late in the third made it 78-70.
Aldridge had eight points in a 12-6 surge to end the quarter and Dorell Wright's 3-pointer with 6:26 left in the game highlighted a 7-0 run that left the Blazers with a 103-89 lead. The Celtics never got closer than 10 points down the stretch in losing their second straight following a four-game winning streak.
