Wilson Chandler had 17 points and eight rebounds as visiting Denver held off Washington.

Nate Robinson added 16 for the Nuggets, who were without point guard Ty Lawson (hamstring) for the second straight game. The Wizards had a chance to win in the final seconds but point guard John Wall fumbled the ball away while driving in the lane.

Wall had 20 points and eight assists and Marcin Gortat added 16 points and eight rebounds for Washington. Trevor Ariza tallied 14 points and Trevor Booker contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Denver trailed by a dozen in the third quarter before taking a 73-72 lead on Robinson’s basket with 3:24 to play. Kenneth Faried’s dunk again put the Nuggets ahead by one with 32.7 seconds left, and he missed two free throws with 4.6 seconds to go before Wall lost the ball at the finish.

Wall had 12 first-half points as Washington led 45-40 at the break. Wall’s basket midway through the third quarter gave the Wizards a 58-46 edge before Denver rallied to trail by just 60-58 entering the final stanza.
