DeMarcus Cousins recorded 24 points, 14 rebounds and six assists as Sacramento pulled away in the second half to hand visiting Orlando its sixth straight loss.
Rudy Gay poured in 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Kings, who outscored the Magic 58-40 in the middle two quarters. Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson each had 14 points while Jimmer Fredette added 11 for Sacramento, which beat Orlando for the second time this season.
Tobias Harris led the way with 16 points and Arron Afflalo registered 15 for Orlando, which shot 33.3 percent from the field and was outrebounded 54-37. Rookie Victor Oladipo chipped in with 13 points while Glen Davis had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic, who play at Denver on Saturday.
Orlando trailed by six before scoring 16 of the final 20 points in the first quarter – keyed by consecutive 3-pointers from Jameer Nelson, Andrew Nicholson and Oladipo -- for a 24-18 lead. Fredette and Gay scored eight each in the second quarter as the Kings rallied to take a 46-40 lead at intermission.
Cousins scored 10 and Isaiah Thomas nine in the third quarter as Sacramento led by as much as 17 before settling for a 76-64 advantage going into the fourth. The Magic shaved their deficit to nine early in the final period but Williams scored six during a 12-0 run midway through to put the game away.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Kings, who made 18-of-19 free throws and shot 51.3 percent from the field, won their second straight home game for the first time since last March. … Orlando C Nikola Vucevic, averaging a double-double, missed his second straight game with a concussion and the Magic are 0-8 when their 7-footer is out of the lineup this season. … Sacramento has scored at least 100 points in 11 straight contests and 17 of its last 18.
