Gerald Green scored 28 points and Markieff Morris added 24 as host Phoenix sent Los Angeles to its sixth consecutive loss.

Channing Frye scored 20 points as the Suns ended a three-game skid while beating the Lakers for the third straight time this season. Goran Dragic had 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and was the recipient of a punch by Los Angeles’ Nick Young in the first half.

Pau Gasol had 24 points and nine rebounds and Wesley Johnson scored 22 points for the Lakers, who opened a seven-game road trip with their 12th loss in 13 games. Chris Kaman scored 18 points, Jodie Meeks added 14 and Kendall Marshall had 10 points and 13 assists.

Young was driving to the basket 4 1/2 minutes into the second quarter when he was fouled hard by Alex Len and he arose to confront the rookie. During the ruckus, Young appeared to punched Dragic in the side of the face to earn his ejection while Len was assessed a flagrant 2 foul and was also tossed from the contest.

The Lakers led 58-54 at halftime but the Suns scored 34 third-quarter points to take an 88-82 lead. The contest was tied at 93 early in the final stanza before Dragic’s layup started a 9-0 run and the Suns led the rest of the contest.
