Paul Millsap collected 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and five blocks as visiting Atlanta held on to beat Orlando after squandering a 19-point lead.
Jeff Teague scored 23 points and DeMarre Carroll added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Hawks, who snapped a three-game road skid. Kyle Korver contributed 12 points and seven assists and Pero Antic added 10 points and 12 rebounds while making four free throws in final 22 seconds to seal it.
Victor Oladipo tallied 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and Tobias Harris notched 19 points and 12 boards for the Magic, who have lost 12 of 13. Jameer Nelson had 17 points and seven assists but misfired on a 3-pointer that would have tied it at the buzzer.
The Hawks' lead was as large as 82-63 in the third quarter, but Orlando closed the period with a 17-6 run that included three 3-pointers and a pair of three-point plays to get within eight. The Magic continued their hot shooting in the fourth and regained the lead at 93-92 on Kyle O'Quinn's dunk with 7:54 left, and they were up by six before Atlanta staged a rally of its own and Orlando came away scoreless on its last three possessions.
Atlanta's advantage was as large as 11 in the second quarter, but the Hawks had to settle for a 60-56 halftime margin after Nelson drew a foul from Lou Williams at the buzzer and made all three free throws. The Hawks stretched the lead to 19 when Teague's 3-pointer with 4:05 left in the third capped an 11-0 spurt.
