Chris Paul had 21 points and eight assists and Blake Griffin scored 20 points as host Los Angeles routed New Orleans.
Darren Collison added 15 points and Matt Barnes scored 14 for the Clippers, who won their fourth straight game. DeAndre Jordan grabbed 12 rebounds as Los Angeles improved to 25-5 at home.
Tyreke Evans had 22 points and nine rebounds and Austin Rivers scored a season-best 19 points for the Pelicans, who shot just 32.9 percent from the field and 3-of-22 from 3-point range while losing their seventh straight game. All-Star forward Anthony Davis had just eight points on 1-of-6 shooting while Eric Gordon had two points on 1-of-13.
The Clippers soared ahead right at the start and Willie Green’s 3-pointer made it 25-8 just eight-plus minutes into the contest. Los Angeles used a 13-0 burst to raise the lead to 21 midway through the second quarter before settling for a 51-36 halftime lead.
An 18-4 surge in the third quarter gave the Clippers a 73-46 advantage and they took a 23-point lead into the final stanza. The advantage topped out at 35 points in the fourth quarter.
