Raptors 99, Grizzlies 86
Jonas Valanciunas had a season-best 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds and host Toronto used a 12-0 fourth-quarter run to subdue Memphis.
Kyle Lowry added 22 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds for the Raptors, who moved 3 1/2 games ahead of idle Brooklyn for top spot in the Atlantic Division. Greivis Vasquez had 17 points off the bench while DeMar DeRozan contributed 16.
Zach Randolph's 16 points paced the Grizzlies, who fell to a half-game in back of Dallas and into sole possession of eighth spot in the West. Courtney Lee chipped in with 12 points while Nick Calathes had 11.
With Toronto leading 71-67 entering the fourth quarter, Vasquez kicked off the pivotal run with a long 3-pointer, a steal and a driving layup after the Grizzlies had drawn even just before the midway point of the period. Valanciunas added a dunk off a Lowry feed - his 11th assist of the game - and DeRozan put an exclamation point on the outburst with a 3-pointer from the left corner after Amir Johnson forced a Tony Allen turnover.
Valanciunas scored 14 first-half points to negate a 3-for-13 performance from DeRozan and Lowry as Toronto led 47-44 at the break. The teams swapped leads until near the midway point of the third quarter, when Lowry and Terrence Ross buried 3-pointers 1:04 apart as part of an 11-2 run that gave the Raptors a slight edge going into the fourth.
