Gerald Green came off the bench to pour in 32 points and Eric Bledsoe added a career-high 30 as visiting Phoenix rallied to defeat Portland.
Green was 12-of-20 from the field – 4-of-7 from 3-point range – in 29 minutes and Goran Dragic scored 19 as the Suns moved into a tie for eighth with Memphis in the Western Conference. Markieff Morris had 12 points and 11 boards and Miles Plumlee hauled in 16 rebounds for Phoenix, which outscored Portland 30-13 in the final quarter.
Robin Lopez recorded 18 points and 13 rebounds while LaMarcus Aldridge also scored 18 as the Trail Blazers saw their four-game win streak end. Damian Lillard contributed 15 points and Nicolas Batum had 13 points and 11 boards for Portland, which dropped two games behind Houston for fourth in the West.
Green had a dunk and a 3-pointer as Phoenix scored the first seven of the fourth quarter for an 86-80 lead, and Dragic’s basket capped a 10-0 run for a 14-point with 5:07 left. The Trail Blazers pulled within 10 before Bledsoe drained a 3-pointer and Green nailed another jumper as the Suns sealed it.
The Suns led by as much as seven in the first half as Green scored 16 points, but Portland recorded the final nine points – five by Batum – to take a 54-51 lead at intermission. The Trail Blazers led by nine early in the second half before Phoenix rallied within 80-79 after three quarters by scoring 12 of the final 18 – four by Dragic.
