Pacers 93, Wizards 80

David West broke out for a postseason-high 29 points as visiting Indiana sprinted past Washington down the stretch to clinch the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Lance Stephenson added 17 points and eight assists and Paul George scored 12 points for the Pacers, who will host Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Miami Heat on Sunday. Roy Hibbert and George Hill scored 11 points apiece as Indiana shot 51.4 percent from the field.

Marcin Gortat scored 19 points and Bradley Beal added 16 to lead the Wizards, who lost all three home games in the series. John Wall collected 12 points and nine assists for Washington.

The Pacers took an eight-point lead into the fourth quarter but the Wizards began the period with an 11-2 burst, capped by Beal’s steal and 3-pointer, to grab a 74-73 advantage. West scored to take the momentum right back and totaled eight points during a 20-6 run to close the game.

Indiana led by as much as 15 points in the second quarter before settling for a 52-40 cushion at the half. The Pacers pushed it out to 16 points early in the third quarter and held a 69-55 edge with 3:51 left in the stanza before Washington finished with a flurry to draw within 71-63.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Miami and Indiana are tied 7-7 in the last 14 meetings but the Heat took the East finals from the Pacers in seven games last spring. … The Wizards went 2-of-18 from 3-point range, including a combined 0-of-7 from Wall and Trevor Ariza. … Washington finished its playoff run 1-4 in five home games.
