Hawks 103, Knicks 96

Kyle Korver buried six 3-pointers en route to 27 points and Jeff Teague scored 19 as Atlanta took over in the second half to down visiting New York.

Paul Millsap collected 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks, who bounced back from a double-overtime loss at Charlotte on Friday. DeMarre Carroll added 12 points and seven boards as Atlanta improved to 2-0 at home.

Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points on 8-of-20 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds as the Knicks suffered their fourth straight loss. Iman Shumpert scored 19 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. added 15 for New York, which was outscored 55-35 after the break.

Hardaway’s 3-pointer put the Knicks on top 88-87 with 5:58 to play but New York went scoreless over the next 3:39 while Teague and Korver led a 7-0 run for the Hawks. Shumpert’s layup snapped the drought but Carroll connected from beyond the arc and Teague’s layup made it 99-91 with 30 seconds left as Atlanta put it away.

The Knicks shot 58.7 percent in the first half to take a 61-48 lead into the half and were up double figures midway through the third before the Hawks closed the quarter with a 14-3 burst to take a 75-74 lead into the fourth. Hardaway’s 3-pointer put New York up 85-79 with 7:35 left before Korver and Carroll hit back-to-back 3-pointers in an 8-0 burst.

Knicks PG Pablo Prigioni (ankle) missed his second straight game and remains day-to-day. … Hawks G Dennis Schroder recorded career highs in points (11) and steals (five) in 20 minutes off the bench. … Korver is 19-of-31 from 3-point range through the first five games.
