Jazz 102, Knicks 100

Trey Burke drained a 20-footer from the left baseline as time expired and visiting Utah handed New York its seventh consecutive loss.

Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 33 points and Derrick Favors had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz, who won for only the second time in their last 11 visits to Madison Square Garden. Burke chipped in 13 points and eight assists and hit the game-winner after Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony banked in a 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds remaining.

Anthony scored 17 of his season-high 46 points in the fourth quarter, but he couldn’t single-handedly halt New York’s skid. Pablo Prigioni with 13 points and four steals was the only other Knicks’ player to score in double digits.

The Jazz rattled off 11 straight points to take an 87-81 lead before Anthony’s tip-in with 4:39 ended the run. The Knicks scored six straight to pull within 94-93 before Hayward hit a jumper with 34.8 seconds left and Utah remained ahead until Anthony’s tying 3-pointer.

The Jazz shot 56.3 percent from the field in the first half and led 48-47 at the break. Utah increased its lead to nine midway through the third before Anthony scored eight of New York’s final nine points of the quarter to help the Knicks trail 75-72 entering the final stanza.
