Wizards 98, Magic 93: John Wall had 15 points and 10 assists and ignited a late third-period surge as Washington toppled visiting Orlando.

Kris Humphries had 16 points and six rebounds and fellow reserve Otto Porter Jr. added 13 points for the Wizards, whose 7-2 start is the franchise's best since the 1974-75 team started 11-1. Nene scored 16 points and Rasual Butler and Paul Pierce each chipped in 10 as Washington improved to 4-0 at home.

Tobias Harris led five players in double figures with 19 points for the Magic, who have lost six straight in the series. Nikola Vucevic added 14 points and 11 boards for Orlando.

Wall assisted on three hoops and drained a shot from the arc in the final three minutes of the third quarter as Washington turned a one-point advantage into a 69-62 lead going into the fourth quarter. Porter scored nine points, Humphries eight and Butler seven in the fourth as the reserves pushed the lead to as many as 11 in the final period.

The Wizards jumped to an early 10-point lead behind 10 points from Wall in the first quarter and led 48-38 at the half after holding the Magic to 34.9 percent shooting. A three-point play by Evan Fournier drew Orlando within 60-59 before Wall and the bench took over.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Magic G Victor Oladipo, playing in his second game after recovering from facial fractures, shot 1-of-9 in the first half and finished 7-of-18 for 18 points. … The Wizards' bench scored 48 points, including the first 26 points of the fourth quarter, and shot 22-of-34. … Wall had 30 points and 12 assists in a 105-98 decision Oct. 30 against the Magic.
