Stephen Curry scored 30 points to go with a season-best 15 assists and Marreese Speights added a season-best 24 points off the bench as visiting Golden State routed hapless Los Angeles.

Klay Thompson scored 18 points and Andrew Bogut had 15 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the campaign as the Warriors improved to 8-2. Golden State was 14-of-28 from 3-point range, and scored 40 points in the second quarter and 41 in the third.

Kobe Bryant had 44 points for the Lakers, marking the 146th time he has scored 40 or more in a game. Jordan Hill added 15 points and 11 rebounds as Los Angeles (1-9) furthered the worst start in franchise history.

Curry notched his fourth double-double of the season and made five 3-pointers as the Warriors were in control from the start and led by 17 eight minutes into the contest. Bryant tried to keep pace but was 15-of-34 shooting – 3-of-12 from behind the arc – and 11-of-16 from the free-throw line while achieving his season-high point total.

Bogut had 15 points and eight rebounds in the first half as Golden State held a 74-55 lead. Bryant scored 28 points in the half and had 16 more in the third but the Warriors continued the offensive assault and topped 100 on Thompson’s 3-pointer with 5:22 left in the third.
