Paul Pierce scored a season-high 25 points and hit a few big shots in the fourth quarter as Washington knocked off host Milwaukee.
John Wall had 19 points and nine assists for the Wizards, who have won five of six. Bradley Beal chipped in 17 off the bench and Martin Gortat had 10 and 13 rebounds as Washington overcame 17 turnovers by beating Milwaukee 20-8 on the offensive glass.
Brandon Knight had a season-high 27 points for the Bucks, who have dropped two straight after winning three in a row. Giannis Antetokounmpo added a career-high 20 as Milwaukee shot just 38 percent in the second half.
Ersan Ilyasova scored five points during a 14-4 spurt as Milwaukee jumped to a 40-25 lead and led 52-47 at the half. Pierce keyed a 14-0 run early in the third-quarter with a pair of 3-pointers and a free throw to provide Washington a 63-54 lead as Milwaukee missed its first 10 shots of the quarter.
After the Bucks got within four, the Washington bench scored all the points during a 14-4 run that gave the Wizards a 93-78 lead with seven minutes left. Knight led a 10-2 surge with a three-point play and another drive, but Pierce hit a 3-pointer and a shot clock-beating jumper with 1:13 left to restore order.
