Trail Blazers 94, Celtics 88

LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and matched his season best of 14 rebounds and Chris Kaman matched his season high of 16 points as Portland beat Boston for its seventh straight win.

Damian Lillard had 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals and Nicolas Batum scored 12 points for the Trail Blazers. Steve Blake added 11 points and Wesley Matthews scored 10 as Portland won for only the second time in its last 11 visits to Boston.

Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger scored 19 points apiece for the Celtics, who have lost five of their last six games. Rajon Rondo contributed 13 points and eight assists and Avery Bradley scored 13 for Boston, which shot just 38.9 percent from the field.

It was tied at 72 entering the final stanza and Portland scored the first 10 points of the quarter to take an 82-72 point advantage before Boston surged back. Consecutive 3-pointers by Bradley and Sullinger pulled the Celtics within 92-88 with 1:30 to play and a fast-break dunk by Matthews with 11.5 seconds left all but sealed it.

Boston used a 10-2 burst to take a 37-27 lead on Evan Turner’s hoop with 6:33 left in the first half. The Celtics led 49-44 at the break before Portland made 11-of-19 shots in the third quarter en route to a deadlock heading to the fourth.
