Chris Paul had 17 points and 15 assists and DeAndre Jordan contributed 12 points and 19 rebounds as Los Angeles defeated host Indiana for its ninth straight win.
Jamal Crawford scored 18 points and Blake Griffin added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers, who improved to 8-2 on the road. J.J. Redick tallied 16 points and Matt Barnes added 11.
C.J. Miles established season highs of 30 points and seven 3-pointers but couldn’t prevent the Pacers from losing their sixth straight game. Lavoy Allen scored a season-best 14 points to with 13 rebounds and Luis Scola scored 12 points and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds.
The Pacers trailed by 17 at the start of the fourth quarter and used an 18-6 burst to pull within five on Allen’s basket with 7:31 to play. Miles’ seventh 3-pointer and Scola’s inside basket brought Indiana within 95-92 with 3:09 remaining and Allen’s basket made it a two-point margin with two minutes left before Crawford drained a 20-footer and the Clippers added three free throws to put it away.
Los Angeles closed the first half with a 10-4 surge to take a 54-49 lead at the break. Paul capped a 10-0 run in the third with a jumper to give the Clippers a 12-point advantage and Jordan Farmar knocked down a 3-pointer to make it a 20-point margin before Los Angeles took an 82-65 lead into the final stanza.
