Blake Griffin scored 18 points and DeAndre Jordan contributed 16 points and 15 rebounds as host Los Angeles cruised past Detroit.
Jordan Farmar scored a season-best 15 points off the bench as the Clippers halted a two-game losing streak. J.J. Redick scored 14 points, Chris Paul added 11 points and eight assists and Matt Barnes scored 10 points.
Andre Drummond had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Pistons, who have lost eight straight to the Clippers. Jodie Meeks scored a season-high 20 points and Greg Monroe added 15 points and eight rebounds.
Los Angeles led 55-44 at the break and used a 13-0 burst just past the midway point of the third quarter to expand the advantage to 26. Barnes started the run with a 3-pointer and a four-point play in a 28-second span and Paul followed with five straight and the quarter closed with the Clippers leading 86-63.
Glen Davis’ jumper pushed the lead to 27 in the opening minute of the final quarter and Detroit answered with a 15-4 surge as Monroe’s layup pulled the Pistons within 94-78. Detroit moved within 15 later in the quarter before Chris Douglas-Roberts scored seven straight Los Angeles points to get the lead back to 20.
