Blake Griffin scored 31 points and matched his season high of 16 rebounds and Chris Paul contributed 20 points, nine assists and matched a season best of five steals as Los Angeles defeated visiting Indiana.
DeAndre Jordan collected a season-best 23 rebounds to go with 15 points as the Clippers notched their sixth consecutive home win. J.J. Redick tallied 16 points for Los Angeles, which has won back-to-back games since losing two in a row for the first time this season.
David West had 17 points and 10 rebounds and C.J. Miles also scored 17 points for the Pacers, who have lost nine of their last 10 games. Lavoy Allen had 12 points and 14 rebounds and Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Watson scored 12 points apiece.
The Pacers rattled off nine straight points early in the fourth quarter to turn a five-point deficit into a four-point lead. Just past the midway point, Los Angeles used its own 9-0 run to take a 97-93 lead but Indiana pulled within one on three free throws by C.J. Watson with 34.9 seconds to go and Miles’ last-second 3-pointer was off the mark.
Griffin had 15 first-half points as Los Angeles held a 52-51 edge at the break. A 10-0 burst provided the Clippers with an eight-point lead in the third quarter before they settled for a 78-72 edge entering the final stanza.
