LeBron James collected 29 points and eight assists as visiting Cleveland bounced back by knocking off Orlando.
Kevin Love added 22 points and seven rebounds for the Cavaliers, who lost in James’ return to Miami on Thursday. Dion Waiters contributed 17 points off the bench and Tristan Thompson grabbed 13 rebounds as Cleveland operated without Kyrie Irving (knee contusion).
Tobias Harris scored 16 points and Evan Fournier had 15 off the bench to lead the Magic, who were outscored 27-14 in the fourth quarter. Nikola Vucevic recorded 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Victor Oladipo added 13 points and eight assists for Orlando.
Mike Miller’s 3-pointer gave the Cavaliers an 84-80 lead just in front of the midway point of the fourth quarter and Thompson’s three-point play with 4:03 left made it a 90-83 cushion. Vucevic’s dunk cut it back to 92-89 with 1:58 to play but Oladipo turned the ball over and James converted a three-point play with 40 seconds left to help seal it.
The Magic took a 53-49 lead into the half and pushed ahead 74-65 on Fournier’s 3-pointer with 2:33 left in the third. Cleveland bridged the third and the fourth quarters with a 10-1 run to knot it at 75 with 10:22 left.
