Derrick Favors had 17 points, 15 rebounds and matched a season high with five blocked shots and Trey Burke also scored 17 points as host Utah knocked off Philadelphia.
Gordon Hayward scored 15 points and Enes Kanter contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds as the Jazz won for the fourth time in five games. Trevor Booker scored 14 points off the bench as Utah held a 52-30 edge in points in the paint.
Tony Wroten scored 20 points for Philadelphia, which lost its 10th straight at Utah. Robert Covington tallied 17 points and nine rebounds, Henry Sims had 10 points and eight rebounds and Nerlens Noel collected 10 rebounds for the 76ers.
Philadelphia was within 69-66 with 5:50 left after a basket by Sims before the Jazz put the game away with a 19-3 surge. A 3-pointer by Burke made it 83-69 with two minutes remaining and Rodney Hood capped the run with a 3-pointer that pushed the lead to 19.
Utah dominated the opening quarter by jumping out to a 25-12 advantage and the Jazz held a 44-32 lead at the break. Hayward hit two free throws to start the third quarter before the 76ers rattled off 15 consecutive points – eight by Covington to take a 47-46 lead before Utah recovered to hold a 59-55 edge entering the final quarter.
