Quincy Acy collected career highs of 19 points and 14 rebounds off the bench for the Knicks, who were again without Carmelo Anthony (knee) and Amar’e Stoudemire (knee). New York also sat J.R. Smith in anticipation of a three-team trade that reportedly sent Smith and fellow guard Iman Shumpert out of town on Monday.

Vince Carter responded with a 3-pointer to spark a 12-0 run for Memphis, and the Grizzlies took a 47-36 lead into the half.

Gasol’s layup capped a 13-2 run in the third that pushed the lead to 75-53 with 4:16 left in the quarter. It was an 84-62 cushion heading into the fourth and Memphis left the starters on the bench down the stretch.
