Roy Hibbert collected 19 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots as host Indiana outlasted Boston.
C.J. Miles scored 17 points and C.J. Watson chipped in 15 as the Pacers won for the fourth time in six games. Luis Scola contributed 14 points off the bench for Indiana, which blew a 13-point fourth-quarter lead before surviving the extra session.
Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 23 points, including the 3-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation to force overtime. Brandon Bass had 17 points, Kelly Olynyk added 13 and Evan Turner tied a career high with 15 rebounds while handing out seven assists as Boston lost for the eighth time in 10 games.
Turner's pull-up jumper gave Boston its first lead of OT with 1:45 to go but the Celtics had three misses on their next possession and David West made two free throws with 31.2 seconds left to put the Pacers up 104-103. Hibbert had a block on the other end and Miles hit two more at the line before Olynyk's 3-point try with 2.9 seconds left was off and Watson hit 1-of-2 from the stripe to seal it.
Donald Sloan drilled a 3-pointer to give Indiana a 77-64 lead with just over eight minutes left in regulation before Boston stormed back, pulling within a point on Marcus Smart's triple with 4:10 to go and seizing a 90-89 lead - its first since midway through the first quarter - on Jared Sullinger's 3 at the 1:27 mark. After West made two free throws to put the Pacers up 94-91, Bradley buried the game-tying 3 and West's deep try at the buzzer was off.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Hibbert scored 13 first-half points to help Indiana take a 46-37 lead. ... The Celtics traded F Brandan Wright, who was acquired in the Rajon Rondo deal last month, to Phoenix for a draft pick and are rumored to have a deal in place to ship F Jeff Green to Memphis. ... Indiana made a season-high 30 free throws in 34 attempts while Boston was 11-of-16 from the line.
