Chandler Parsons scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting as visiting Dallas made short work of Minnesota.
Dirk Nowitzki added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks, who have won six of their last eight road games. Rajon Rondo tallied nine points while J.J. Barea dished out a game-high 10 assists off the bench for Dallas, which shot 51.3 percent from the field.
Andrew Wiggins scored 18 points while Thaddeus Young produced 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for the Timberwolves, who matched their worst start in franchise history. Nikola Pekovic chipped in 14 points after missing the previous 31 games with an ankle injury for Minnesota, which couldn't survive 34.8 percent shooting from the floor.
The Mavericks led 24-21 after the first quarter before Parsons scored 10 straight points and 13 overall as part of a 15-4 run to help Dallas pull ahead 52-34. Parsons topped all scorers with 19 first-half points as the Mavericks shot 56.1 percent to take a commanding 59-38 advantage into intermission.
Nowitzki connected from beyond the arc to push the margin to 70-45 near the midway point of the third quarter and Dallas settled for a 75-57 lead heading into the final frame. Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler nailed back-to-back jumpers to put the Mavericks on top 84-61 and they coasted the rest of the way to earn their fourth win in their last five games.
