Damjan Rudez scored 16 of his career-high 18 points in the fourth quarter as visiting Indiana rallied from nine down to defeat Orlando and end a seven-game losing streak.
David West contributed 20 points and George Hill scored 17 for the Pacers, who finished the game on a 27-11 run that included four 3-pointers by Rudez. Rodney Stuckey chipped in with 15 points while Roy Hibbert added 11 and 13 rebounds as Indiana had a 47-33 advantage on the boards.
Nikola Vucevic led the way with 27 points and seven rebounds for the Magic, who have dropped five straight contests. Victor Oladipo had 18 points and Tobias Harris scored 11 off the bench while Elfrid Payton registered 10 points and eight assists for Orlando.
The Magic led by nine before Rudez drained three 3-pointers and made a layup during 14-2 run as the Pacers took a 93-90 lead with 4:50 left in the contest. The game was tied when Hill drove for two and followed it up with a dunk off a turnover for a 101-97 bulge, and Rudez sealed it with a corner 3-pointer with 21.2 seconds to go for a 105-99 lead.
Orlando led by as many as seven in the first quarter, but Indiana made 12-of-17 shots from the field in the second and West scored 12 in the half for a 51-49 edge at intermission. Oladipo recorded 11 points – five during a key 13-4 burst – and Channing Frye scored nine in the third quarter as the Magic moved in front 82-75 going to the fourth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana G C.J. Miles, who is averaging 12.4 points, sat out the game with a left groin strain. … Orlando rookie F Aaron Gordon recorded nine points and four rebounds in his first career start. … The Pacers have won seven of the last eight meetings, including both this season.
