Monta Ellis had 25 points and a season-high 13 assists as visiting Dallas shot lights out in the first half and held on against Orlando.
Tyson Chandler added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks, who won their second straight after losing four in a row despite playing without Chandler Parsons (illness) for a second straight game and losing Rajon Rondo in the first period. Richard Jefferson scored 14 points as Dallas shot 64.3 percent in the first half and didn't look anything like a team playing its fourth game in five nights.
Nikola Vucevic had 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Magic, who have lost eight straight and 14 of 16. Willie Green scored 15 off the bench, but Orlando's porous defense yielded 56.8-percent shooting to Dallas.
Dallas led 66-41 at the half, draining 7-of-13 from the arc, but nine points from Green and two 3-pointers from Channing Frye closed Orlando within 94-89 with 5:52 to play. Ellis responded by finding Chandler on a pick-and-roll for a dunk, driving the lane for two and nailing a foul-line jumper to restore an 11-point lead with 3:46 left, and Orlando never threatened again.
Devin Harris scored five points and Chandler added four during a 13-2 run that provided a 26-11 lead. The Mavericks entered the second period with a 17-point bulge and 3-pointers from Jefferson and Ellis during a 10-0 run pushed the edge to 59-34.
