Clippers 97, Grizzlies 79

DeAndre Jordan collected 22 rebounds and scored 15 points and Chris Paul had 19 points and 13 assists as visiting Los Angeles knocked off Memphis.

Jamal Crawford had 19 points and J.J. Redick scored 18 as the Clippers avenged Monday’s home loss to the Grizzlies. Matt Barnes scored 13 points as Los Angeles halted a two-game losing streak.

Zach Randolph had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Memphis, which lost its second straight game after winning 16 of its previous 19. Courtney Lee added 12 points and Marc Gasol had 11.

Paul’s basket gave the Clippers a 75-66 lead with 6:45 remaining and Memphis crept within seven before Los Angeles rattled off nine straight points. Paul scored seven during the run, including a 3-pointer to make it 86-70 with 4:05 left, and Crawford drained back-to-back jumpers as the margin reached 19 with 1:23 remaining.

Both teams struggled on the offensive end in the first half as the score was knotted at 41 at the break. Los Angeles exploded with a 21-6 surge to start the third quarter – a 3-pointer by Barnes capped the run to make it 62-47 with 5:22 remaining – but the Grizzlies finished strong and trailed 69-62 entering the final stanza.
